Whatever he was doing it had to be stopped. This Mockshah character needed to be brought to justice now. For the past two years this one pirate-rogue took out various targets like an assassin, hitman and a thug all in one. She stood in her temporary office studying pictures of him in his duster-trench coat that covered him. He wore a beanie under a classic mobster hat or had it inside out to switch colors. In every photograph she examined his face was either concealed by a black bandanna, or a face mask, or the photographer did not get his full face. As she examined each one that was mostly exposed she could not help the feeling that she knew who this was. Was this someone from her past?
"Eva, do you have a lead on who this "Mockshah" really is?" she heard Commissioner Pulimius' voice emerge from the left side of her room.
"Um I have some idea as to who he could be, but I do not have a real name." Eva admitted scratching her chin. It confused her the most on how she could not get a hold of this one damned pirate who single handed took down several gangs of rapists, murderers, kingpins, thieves, thugs, arsonists, crooks, and the most arduous of villains. Many of the city's villains would slip away or get the off the hook after a year in jail.
"How can he slip through our city's police force like that for the past two years? I will not say this anyone else I appreciate him taking down all those monsters that plagued our city, ruined our lives, and destroyed those poor gorgeous officers." Pulimius said trying to hold back tears. Many of the Commissioners finest agents and police officers had been assaulted, ravaged, and forced into acts with multiple rapists. It was a nightmare they had to keep under wraps to avoid further panic.
Even Eva tried to hold back the tears. Just thinking about those poor women in uniform being ravaged like that after fighting so hard to protect this city-state. Their city was a network of different cities with different names yet held the same name of Atlantis. In her mind she wished she could have been there to save all of them. Some survived feeling humiliated, others died, and the rest committed suicide feeling ashamed and had guilt about them. Whoever this Mockshah was he should no mercy towards such fiends who raped women. She looked at one of this handy work. A crook, arsonist, and an offender by the name of "Big Daddy Junk" had his head split open on a kitchen counter. It was inside his last victim's home who peed herself believing Mockshah would be after her as well.
"Just over two years and these monstrous gangs are running for their lives. This one man killed and maimed over seven hundred thirty-nine of these monsters. Over eighty of them soiled themselves. Out of the blue we have even more of these figures adding more to the body count of rapists, murderers, arsonists, bullies, thugs, heartless crooks. I have the names of two of these figures Balian, and this Mr. Simons who looks oddly like someone I knew." Eva said wondering if she could remember her days in college and all those she used to hang out with.
Her memories of college were slowly coming back to her in small pieces. However, that would have to be dealt with in the future. She had been drafted in to this little superhero business by Boromir "Bob" Denson who was nowhere to be found on this planet. In her heart she always wanted to be a superhero. Her convention days allowed her to pretend she was one with others despite their age. She looked at the Commissioner who had a dark-skinned complexion like an African American woman from Earth.
"This Mr. Simons character looks all too familiar even his bald head. I think his name is Patrick something. However, could he be Veillieux?" Eva pondered over this for a few seconds. She took one good look at Mockshah's jaw wondering if she had seen him before.
"Well, we have a name for one of those figures. I will notify the others. Now let us go ahead and deal with this "Civilized Spaldon" who managed to creep up from the sewers." Pulimius reminded her. Spaldons were new to her, they were like ugly frog looking humanoids who had various descriptions among their species or race. Most of them dwelt in the underworlds and in caves. They acted more like feral hostiles who happened to organize themselves. A few organized tribes could be found in the tunnels of the underground worlds. Their appearances were stout, pudgy, fat or scrawny and more misshapen in places.
"Of course I almost forgot." Eva said recalling her next assignment for this city. She left her office and went straight for her squad car that was assigned to her. Pulimius joined her in the car and they drove away from the Police Station that looked more like a cross between a fortress and an office building. Eva drove getting more glimpses of her past returning to her. She remembered all of her family members, and close friends. All her relatives appeared in her mind. Her real name was not to be revealed here on this world for some reason as she was hiding from stalkers, and those who hunted her down on her home world. Somehow, she could not feel like she was at home in this world.
Eva Arrow drove through the city towards an area that was called the Waterfront of Neptune. It was here some of the Spaldons or aquatic humanoids would emerge on the docks at night. With the help from Mermaids, and other Humanoids they managed to control the influx. Yet they failed to capture Mockshah and his pirate crew. The two officers drove through a rundown neighborhood with the sun going down. At night this part of the city was not always the friendliest, yet it was not nearly as hostile as the parts under the M.O.R. whose name she would not utter period. Eva stopped when she spotted a strange looking creature holding a group of young residents hostage. He had multiple arms and a few knives. She got out of the car in her hero outfit that did not make her look silly among all the uniformed officers. Striking a combat pose she did not hesitate to dash towards the Spaldon. She heard the young ones crying and pleading to be saved and to be let go.
Just like a martial artist or master fighter Eva launched herself and kicked the spaldon midair. She performed a flip while the Spaldon dropped everything and collapsed on the ground. When Eva landed she looked up to see a figure of her height applauding her yet there was no sound coming from the clapping. This person must have worn leather gloves to muffle the sound and it was cold this time of year on this world. She stood up with all the kids and family members surrounding her. The kids jumped up and cheered, some of the mothers grabbed her and thank her for saving their children. Eva took this gratitude with praise and gave each of the kids a hug. She looked up to see the figure had moved onto the roof tops. She eyed him suspiciously wondering if that was Mockshah or not.
