After gathering 561 conscripted recruits from the gangs, outlaws, and pirates Galmand marched with these recruits in search of bandits who posed a threat to the peace. Through various sources he gathered many of them were veterans out of the job and turned to robbing. Each of those would surely come in handy at the front lines of this new war. With a force of 424 Dwarf Soldiers and Gnome Lawmen Galmand marched out to find these bandits. He discovered he was not the only one rounding them up. In his mind he knew it would not be easy to round them all up. Every bandit group would just disappear into the countryside. His forces or other forces would be unable to find them. Some would be killed, which would give away the bandits' position. Galmand did not know how many more Ehkbullar guards or recruiters were there. Knowing how large their lands were there would most likely be hundreds if not thousands of bandits, brigands, outlaws, highwaymen, and marauders. Gangs, outlaws, bandits, brigands, outlaws, highwaymen, and any marauders rounded up would be sent to the front lines.
Camping in the countryside with a larger force only meant troop movements to these various outcasts. He sent out one hundred men at a time to round up any outcasts in the surrounding area. Galmand kept track of how many of his men returned and how many individuals and groups they rounded up. Acting like an organized mob on a witch hunt his troops scoured the surrounding area over the course of three days. Using whatever information they received or help from the locals his forces were able to round up a number of these outcasts. Each one of them were tied up or shackled. To his greater fortune he only lost a few men each day. Once their sweep was done, which would end when another round up force met another, they moved towards the south. Hauling the outcasts with them his army put them through beatings, and forced them to march in the front. All of them had a black bandanna over their mouths to show what they were to those watching them. A big surprise came to him when some of the outcasts they rounded up earlier in this campaign rated out the outlaws, and marauders in the south. Ten nosy brigands, and outlaws were dragged over to his tent. He immediately made those outcasts and gang members soldiers or retrievers for his army. This added more to his force as he saw it increase in size as they broke their captives.
A full week went by in the south and they hit the jackpot of outlaws, bandits, marauders, brigands, highwaymen, and goons in the southern region. However he was not the only one gathering up these outcasts in this region of Ehkbullar. This other recruiter was like him only his reputation was of infamy and dreadful ruthlessness towards criminals he caught. His name was Agor Dunoid Runemaw, a brutal Sheriff Lawman, and cutthroat Country Watch Trooper in his past life. Country Watch Troopers acted as lawmen, soldiers and rangers protecting the countryside borders. Galmand chuckled when he learned this Half Dwarf half Gnome could no longer kill those he conscripted for service. A rough, brutal, and murderous Dwarf of the Law was pressed into staying his hand for recruiting. To Galmand it was a fitting punishment for the likes of Runemaw due to his past streak of kills that Galmand and others of the law and authorities as pointless. Nothing could be done and progress was put on hold with restoring old structures they intended to use. During peace time any criminal caught or in custody were used as manual labor to maintain old structures while their craftsman and works built new ones.
Forced to cancel the hunt for conscripts here and press towards the east where he stopped at a military base. With all the gathered conscripts and captives Galmand reported to the commander of the base. Aside from the 561 conscripted recruits his forces managed to round up 341 for the conscription army in the countryside of his jurisdiction. At the Base Commander's Office Galmand spoke with the Commander himself who recorded the number of conscripted recruits. He did not get his name however he did look like an associate or an acquaintance of his. Whoever he was this commander had good and bad news concerning their borders. These Nazdar forces were still bogged down in Kashmanol Country, and their neighbors were marshaling more forces to aid the resistance. In the south Veerland troops, and raiders were preparing to raid their borders. It was unknown how many men they would be sending to attack their borders. Galmand listened to the Commander who handed him records of how many conscripts were gathered across the eastern parts of Ehkbullar. Galmand asked about the west only to get cut off with orders from his superiors appearing on the desk. He snatched it up to read it. His eyes grew wide with shock and surprise. Since he gathered a considerable force he was to march towards the Veerland borders. Galmand looked at the Commander who closed his eyes and nodded. All he had was a battalion of 1,326 gathered at this base in the center of eastern Ehkbullar. He stood up to rally them to march onward the next day. The Commander mentioned there were more than 9000 outcast conscripts were already marching on the border with another force of 2000 marching from behind. Galmand took this in wondering what damage 11,000 could do. Ehkbullar's borders were guarded by militias, rangers, and bands of Watch Troopers.
