Conscription in Ehkbullar

In just a span of ten years the Nazdar were able to conquer parts of the world that is known as Calorn. Nazdar invaders were very close to seizing another territory. Koshmanol was the name of the territory these invaders were taking over. According to the facts of nations around them this invader should have been able to conquer their world by now. What was stopping them were other factions from the stars, another competing empire, and that many of the states had the capacity to resist them. Every year there was always a rebellion or uprising. More than half the nations, and kingdoms south of Ehkbullar and west of Koshmanol prepared to fight this enemy. However Verland or Veerland, and the Orc region of Kharmala joined these invaders. Orian was divided into several kingdoms whereas the half Orc nation of Kyria was forced to declare neutrality. All the states remaining formed an alliance with outsiders and each other.

Within the Dwarf city of Bhog Burim lived a population of 41, 515 Dwarves and Gnomes. Due to inbreeding the races came more related. There were enough males and females to recruit when the time came. Every time Ehkbullar went to war they conscripted all the unwanted first, and cleared the dungeons and jail cells before recruitment happened. For the past few decades the city witnessed the rise of gangs in the area and in surrounding towns. As a Dwarf Conscription Officer it was Galmand Obalson's job to find the gangs of the area and conscript them. Most gangs were smart not to tangle with the military who would send a company after them. As for the guards, and police they did come under attack every few weeks. Within the vicinity of the city and towns were twenty or more known gangs, and a handful of rogues and loners who were vicious fighters. These gangs included Samaddams, Smithwitches, Heineks, Old Brews, The Harps, Michalebs, Two X's, Angry Orchard Gang, Coras, New Helges, Blue Moons, Dock Rabbits, New Hollands, Jacob Haine's, Brown Castles, Buffs, Headstars, a Miller fellow, one handsome Leo Rogue, and a trio who call themselves the Nothing Gang.

Going through the names of the gangs he also checked the number of members and their locations. A total of twenty five Samaddams gang members roamed the market square and the abandoned temple. Four members of the Smithwitches lurk in an alley close to the old way-point. Somewhere near one of the loners live two members of the Heineks Gang who managed to avoid the larger gangs. The Old Brews had an infamous legacy to the city that made them the oldest gang within the old parts of the brewery sector. Often called the Guiness Harps the Harps have 15 members along the edge of the Boarding House District. Just Six Michelibs had a small turf in the apartment district along the edge of the city. Nine members of the Two X gang acted more like nomad's from the city to other areas. All the loners included figures such as an Angry Orchard dude near Garden Street, a Coras associate, New Helge Associate, a single Blue Moon who left the gang, and a Buffs associate member by the Violin Inn. There were other loners and lone rangers like the one Dock Rabbit who dwells in the edge of the city, a New Holland who hangs with the Trio, and a Brown Castle member who hides near the main castle. Those were not too hard to round up for the military conscription.

When that was done he took his team to the nearest settlement. A small city known as Bhalyar along the river of Gonze. Here they rounded up a single Coras member, 4 Helge members, 5 Buffs, 5 Harps,  a trio of those Brown Castles, and 22 Samaddams members. Their job got easier thanks to the ones in the main city who ratted them out. In his mind Galmand knew there had to be more gang members than this. All his superiors wanted were raw recruits who apparently had fighting skills already. If someone knew how to fight and did not have military training that was a good sign. After gathering up the goons in the area Galmand took what information he could get and raced for the city of Edgad where more gangs dwell. This time they had help from the the locals and the militia who rounded them up before he arrived. Approximately 46 Samaddams, 38 Buffs, 5 Coras, 10 Harps, 27 Headstars, 31 Old Brews, 11 Angry Archards, a single Miller that had to be restrained, one lone heineks, a Leo Rogue, and a Michelib Ultra goon. That totaled up to 293 gang members rounded up in the three settlements.

Galmand was surprised to see only 293 gang members were rounded up. He quickly recorded them and whoever else they had rounded up. This was to clear as much of the streets as possible before the mass conscription of prisoners. Ehkbullar's ruling families and government made a decree to conscript all jailed criminals and gangs along side any outlaws that can be found. Among the 293 goons they rounded up in the region they found 160 pirates hiding from authorities, and 108 outlaws in the cities. That only made the total number of conscripts in this region 561 able bodies for canon fodder. Galmand wanted to continue the search before they dragged all the inmates and prisoners out of jail for military service in the name of Ehkbullar. If there were no doubt thousands of inmates and prisoners across Ehkbullar then there were most likely thousands of more goons and outlaws to round up.
