His people recently joined the invasion of a world that was partly conquered by two powerful Empires. Only one of these Empires conscripted his own people into this fight. They were not the only ones who were brought to this world full of Elves, Humans, Dwarfs, Gnomes, and other humanoid species. He was surprised to see Orcs and Goblins on this world let alone some unity between various kingdoms and states. For five years these two Empires could not take out a faction that was made up of different factions in one union. It had allies all over this world yet many of them fell to the behemoth empires who forged an alliance together.
No more than nine other races, factions, organizations and mercenary groups have been fighting for these empires. Some of them were aquatic species, others were mammal like races, reptilian like, just one of these races appeared similar to the ones on this world. The only reason his people joined the fray was because they were also at war with the Lamia Species of Myapos and Zescephus. Many of his own race fought and died in their wars with the Lamia whose species were viewed as monsters. Although they were beautiful in the upper body, their snake like tails for legs made a frightful impression. He came from a purple skinned race known as the Leki who are known for their various cultures depending on hairstyles. Those with appendage like hair are the warriors, those born with bald heads become soldiers, and the rest serve other functions of their societies.
As a Leki warrior and hunter Hadrius was tasked with combating the enemies of the Leki cultures who included a variety of different species. Some involved hunting the enemy down, and others required him to watch over someone at night. Those days were long gone and there was nothing but going forth into the front lines. Now he stood aboard a drop ship that his people were equipped by the Gantronese to drop troops off. Standing at the exit wielding his spear in one hand and a shield in the other Hadrius observed the battlefield over what was once called Miccado. Their drop ship took them over the battlefield where thousands of combatants engaged each other over a ruined landscape. Entire settlements lay in ruin, structures could only be identified by their bases, and foundations. Hills were made up of skeletons and heaps of bones. More corpses added dread to the gruesome scene. Hadrius' drop ship landed in a clear area that was once a graveyard behind a hill.
