Catching up to Vagi was not something he tolerated. When he found her handy work, he started to appreciate her a little more. Whoever she was someone better put a ring on her. When he got up to the 27th floor sounds of sex emitted from two doors. Rolling his eyes, he pushed on the door. It did not budge. Cailor pulled on the door handles, nothing happened. Using his Zhenrai sense he discovered an enchantment was placed on this door. Vagi’s voice could be heard begging to keep going. Getting inside would be hard and take a lot of power. As the sounds kept going, he went into ascension mode. Cailor’s spirit soared above his idle body. Thanks to his ascension he got to see past the enchantment. In pink and purple, he saw the interior. Vagi was on all fours getting plowed by a monkey humanoid hybrid with gold fur. Cailor could not keep his eyes away. Some insect crawled on the idle Cailor. He snapped out of it because of the critter. Smacking the insect, Cailor wiped it on a wall. Still at it, Vagi kept letting herself be screwed by this hybrid monkey. They must have been at it for a while. When Vagi let out the loudest moan the doors unlocked. Was this hybrid locking doors that could only be release when they finished. Cailor burst into the room. On the floor lay Vagi with a terminal device next to her. The Monkey hybrid stood up as something on her disappeared.
“Do not try anything violent,
Zhenrai. My allegiance is myself not to the Chaotic Surprise Oligarchy nor the
Order of the Beast. I am Ozasis Cottuna the Goddess of Love, Pleasure, and
exotic things. I do not know her name but this one was very submissive. Seeing
you come up here tells me she is dear to you.” This Ozasis spoke in a very deep
feminine voice.
“Whatever you did to her don’t try
that on me.” Cailor warned her.
“My only interests are other women.”
She replied to Cailor.
“Are you a lesbian?” He asked her
blinking in disbelief.
“NO! Take her and the Nyrlax with
you. I sent some messages to some loves of mine. Begone with your skoger selves
from here until I leave. Away with you. “ Ozasis waved him away like he was a low
peasant and she was a nobles. In a flash of pink light, she vanished.
Vagi got up to see Cailor standing
there. She was in the nude before his presence. As usual she panicked as though
she snapped out of a trance like spell. Se covered herself quickly. A plaid
robe wrapped around her. Putting her arms through the sleeves she picked up the
Nyrlax and the clothes she wore. Captain Cailor escorted her back down a few
floors. They stopped to allow Vagi to change clothes. Once she was fully
dressed, they went down to the bottom level. Waiting for them outside the
platform was Captain Weatherby and some members of the Basilisk crew.
Film crews from the capitals of the
VUVR’s worst nightmare, the Tante Republics. Cailor felt the hairs on his neck
rise. For a second Cailor thought one of the elf reporters would approach him
and their team. None of them did as he only saw a small team of eight
reporters. Weatherby occupied their time and allowed them to explore with a
guide. Vagi, Cailor, Zersan, Evirius, Gorris, and Izor greeted the Captain. Their
new friends came up to them. Weatherby greeted each one with gratitude for
joining their side. He gave Lieutenant Vagi a salute in the Vestrisian style.
“Well done Lieutenant Naphene Vagi.
That device will serve use better than grabbing nerves of steel and going
forth.” Weatherby took the Nyrlax from Vagi. He looked at both Vestrisians.
“Lieutenant, go back to the ship.”
He said directly to Vagi. Weatherby turned his attention to Captain Cailor.
“Your superiors in Borvados sent you
here, right? That only means your Order’s ancient enemy could be here.”
Weatherby looked a little concerned and perplexed.
“Vearxall, so Aliscar’s followers
are still around. That only means Razdor was never destroyed.” Cailor said more
to himself than to Weatherby.
“Razdor? Wait, who is this Razdor?”
Captain Weatherby asked curious.
“Nothing Captain, they are old
legends from ancient times still being whispered.” Cailor replied recalling
what the Zhenrai Order told him in a letter. Upon joining the ranks of the
V.U.V.R. he was under the oath to never reveal the truth. They lost the last
war against Razdar who still lived. Ages ago the Zhenrai Masters and Knights
set off to kill Alliscar Razdor. All those men and women failed only to see
Aliscar lose countless followers. Very few Zhenrai died in the last
confrontation leaving Razdor wounded. There was nothing more they could do but
stop the spread of his followers. He remembered his master telling him this
tale as an apprentice-squire.
Master Abi Von Bangerann told him
this story when they were in Gontrella. That was after the usual border
skirmishes between Blackmell Communities, Wild Beings, and Gontrellan ruffians.
While they were in the port city of Eckleburg, Gontrella only twelve Zhenrai
joined them. He only had the company of eight other squires who came along.
Despite differences they get along well. For ten months they were there in
Gontrella. Creating a bond quickly the nine of them played music together. They
only entertained the people of Gontrella during the period of renewed peace. On
the last month of the Orde’s mission there about ten Vearxall and forty-seven
followers of Razdor attacked. It was in the form of an ambush.
Memories of that event went away as
he focused on other thoughts. He was fortunate Captain Weatherby briefed the
new allies on the current conflict going on. The Vestrisian Naval Captain could
accept them as volunteers. In the Zhenrai’s mind a certain woman with dark
coffee skin tone appeared. Back when he was just starting bootcamp he saw this
pretty woman in a black dress and white polka dots. She smiled at him and
greeted him with a hello. He recalled how she lowered her head in
embarrassment. This exotic woman revealed herself to be a Zema Ilam. The next
day she left and vanished without out a trace that she was even there. Cailor
thought to ask around, but his master and another knight he squired for told
him not to. Within a year he would be twenty-one and that meant his Knighthood
began.
Left to the women who fooled the
knight into believing they had no interest he abandoned hope. Around this time
the Zegrav War was underway. Cailor served on the frontlines until his powers
got him into covert, and special operations. Even during the peace times, the
lone Zhenrai travelled all over the Valde Ocean. His missions involved hunting
down villains, associates to the Vearxalls, necromancers, cultists, mad
scientists, cannibal nobles, feral villages, and warlords. While on a mission
he discovered he was not the only Zhenrai involved in the VUVR military. Some
made it less obvious by using the standardized modern weapons.
As War broke out in Calorn’s year
1840-1841 as the foolish Vullanese and allies declared war on the V.U.V.R. Now
it was the year 1843 going on to 1844. For two long years he fought in the
jungles of the Unknown Lands. As this year of 1843 came to an end, they gained
a bit of ground. To the north the Vullanese forces were overrun, Nazdar troops
retreated in Vimasdra, Gontrella. Both invaders were losing territory in
certain parts of their empires. In the south the Gantronese lost Dorntalla,
about a third of Zekmar, some allies along the coasts and starting to lose the
Unknown Lands. Thanks to his former Masters, he heard more joined this conflict
that was spreading far and wide.
Out of 20, 607 fighting members
about 329-636 joined the ranks of the Vestrisian Military. Nobles and Knights
from all over Vestrisia flocked to the ranks next to regular citizens,
peasants, farmers, and commoners. They miraculously made up 374, 014
recruits. Looking at those statistics it
was still a small number compared to the nearly 4 million that flocked to join.
Thanks to the union of various kingdoms, states, and empires the Vestrisian
Union had a large population and still does. Cailor waited patiently for
Weatherby to dismiss him. Upon being dismissed he joined their new friends.
Ools was taken in for questioning. Izor had his scratches bandaged up, but
still wished to join him. Others were taken to fight the Gantronese at the
city-state of Oramatra. That left him with Izor, Zersan, Gorris, and Evirius
who rode back to the other platforms they seized. Going their separate ways for
now they dropped him off then rode back for other new allies. The Zhenrai
Captain made his way back to his residence on the taken island. Cailor knocked
on the door frame. His own companion appeared at the doorframe. His own
companion appeared at the door. A half Nymph with dark skin tone in an Uxane
robe looked up at him.
“Good to see you have survived
Master Cailor.” She greeted him a hug.
“Phebei I was only gone for a single
day! Has anyone else found you other than Marine Corporal Sir Jurdanus?” He
chastised her.
“No one has found me at all.” Phebei
replied shifting her eyes.
“Your own mother/creator/summoner
Siana Lickas wants you hidden from public eye. Ever since that carnival Master
and Mistress took you away for her own show Siana feared the worst. I wished
the High Zhenrai allowed you to stay with them.” Cailor folded his arms wishing
they had done so.
“Will you be going out again
tomorrow?” Phebei asked him.
“That would depend on Admiral Kezef
and the Mysdran (Kevin Vorske) of this theater’s word.” He replied to her
question.
“Have you eaten yet?” she asked him.
“Nope.” Cailor answered her.
“Have some crab soup.” She handed
him a spoon.
Taking the spoon, he entered his
residence. Inside was a table, kitchen, chairs, four small rooms. In one corner
sat her small chest with her enchanted snake doll coiled around it. Beside her
chest sat a sack of belongings. There was a badge on it, a spyglass in it
sheath linked to the sack. A large medallion rested on a countertop. His second
backpack and helmet rested in another corner. On a shelf rested a small K-55
pistol, the Nymresian gun model. A gun he found on that Carnival Master’s
enforcer.
Cailor sat down letting the Nymph
hybrid serve him a meal. Eating up the crab soup that had edible seaweed, and
other plants she mixed in Vagi came to his mind. The Lieutenant Secretary had
secrets about her that caught his attention. He would have to ask her at some
point. When he finished eating the crab and mixture the Zhenrai gulped down the
broth. Letting the Nymph take his bowl and spoon made him feel like a customer.
Getting up from his seat Cailor
pressed a button that closed the door. Cailor went to his room where he had his
Zhenrai blade. As he entered, he decided to bathe. Stripping his uniform combat
fatigues, he wondered how Vagi was doing. Figuring her out would be impossible
so it was best left alone. When he was done bathing, he wore the robe of the
Zhenrai to a long rest. He woke up to the smell of coffee, steaming seaweed
with meats and onions. As he got up the sound of rapping on metal came into his
ears. Cailor got up to check the door first. At the door stood Admiral Kezef
and a Vestrisian Political Officer next to him. Behind them stood five Orc
Guards in the royal blue uniforms. Each wore the usual cap and were armed with
a machinegun rifle, heavy rifle, and shotgun. At their sides hung melee weapons
such as a mace, falchion, short axe, sword, and war pick.
“Good morning Captain Cailor this is
Political Officer Cijang Kennamin. We have orders for you and our new allies
who joined us to push on. Clear out ten or more islands while your countrymen
secure the north and the south. When you are ready Captain go meet your new
volunteer unit. Kennamin the floor is yours.” Kezef stepped aside.
“Thank you, Admiral Kezef. Captain
Cailor I have been sent here to ensure morale does not waver. Victories in the
Unknown Lands set off a chain reaction of uprisings across the board. While we
are here, we need to recruit any pirates, aliens, or any bands or groups in
this area. According to our new allies there are plenty of aliens and pirates
who don’t see eye to eye or are at war with the Gantronese. Some of our pirates
have gone off to raid cities still loyal to the Gantronese. Others such as
smugglers will set out to get more pirates on our side from other parts of
Calorn. These are your orders, Captain. Clear out any islands and recruit
allies. In the process seize anything useful. Do you have any questions
Captain?” The Political Officer asked. He looked Borvadosi and not pleased to
be here.
“Since you asked that large breasted
elf presented that map for the Admiral. Turns out it did not need to be hooked
up. This Nyrlax unveiled some projected map that listed all factions in other
platforms. In languages we understood it listed six factions. Aside from
Gantronese forces. That was also the word of two buccaneers we found on
patrol.” Kennamin explained to the Zhenrai Captain.
“I guess you don’t like huge tits
then!” a familiar voice spat out from behind the Political Officer. “Now piss
off and let me speak to this Zhenrai.”
A big half Orc male in uniform of a combat marine stood behind the Borvadosi. Angered by this the Political Officer left, but not before handing a card of factions on it. Cailor looked at this card with a list on it. Cailor looked at this list as the half-Orc came to his side. Looking at the card he saw the statistics and numbers.
- Gantronese have 1,374 plus more spread out
- IGA/IGC managed to have 273 scattered after a mission called intervention 2741
- CSO still have 763 plus more in this area
- Aquanne Hitto have 273 renegades who left the G.I.A.
- Toceanids hold a platform with 93 left expecting more to arrive
- Order of the Invincible Plume ended up with six left after a mission
“Would you like some coffee dear friend?” He asked the
Half-Orc with a Celic accent
“Only if you admit to liking women with large breasts.” The
half Orc said.
“Fine I do, sort of, “ Cailor grimaced. “Dang it Sergeant
Gnom Orbfist. Get in here and catch up!”
The half-orc joined Cailor for breakfast. Both exchanged
stories about their experiences. He had to tell Gnome about little Phebei who
served them breakfast. All three dined together as Gnom explained his role as
Sergeant for Cailor’s volunteer unit. He brought some arm bands with the
Vestrisian Volunteer Branch flag that were in the form of the bands. Cailor put
one on and handed one to Phebei in case she was discovered. The Zhenrai left
the residence with the pale green half-Orc. Both went over to the tower,
passing their countrymen who looked awestruck by these islands. Around the
island lay Kezef’s fleet and other one. Three Privateer ships, Four Mezeen
vessels, one Nahem Destroyer, and two Tante Privateer steel frigates took up
the call to push back against the invaders. Cailor hoped all free nations would
choose to fight back this invader.
At the tower Izor, Zersan, Evirius, and Gorris waited with
seven of the new allies. Whoever Vagi came across had to be sent over to
Borvados. Every single noncombatant were sent to either Ruhontrha or Ivodra.
Evirius had Omurx on his shoulder who introduced the Vestrisians. Cailor took a
mental note of the names of his new unit’s members. Two female barbarians in
new fatigues and combat armor had names such as Friengve(ginger haired), and
Sterhen (bleach haired). An Elf blue mage known as Bemere Faeris. Some noble
Bard named Zaros in a GIS dyed uniform wielded a rapier and a set of daggers.
Sir Ingrannus the Noble Knight of Eros wore the plated armor, armed with the
usual weapons. Monn Vag was the Barbarian Merc who wore a long green tunic over
camouflage paints, and chainmail shirt.
Osophi was the female Battle Mage in a green cuirass and black dress.
When all 12 put on
the Black and Blue flag arm band they went to meet the buccaneers. Under guard
by Vestrisian sentries they found them to be members of another faction. Two
pirate factions lived and survived here. Their names were the Sal Gahmee, which
was the largest, and the Red Fang Eels. Both were just two of several pirate
factions here. Once all the other alien factions came the pirates Banded
together. Now they had to go behind the platforms they seized.
As for these two buccaneers, they were members of the Red
Fang Eels. Orvis green, and Bria Black Bengal from Borvados, and Grussia.
According to their story they were on patrol aboard a motorized Brig vessel.
Orvis and Bria are survivors out of a crew of 26 of the M45 gp Brig Black
Moon. All twenty-four dead crewmates were buried at sea leaving 12 cannons,
16 personal guns, 19 swords, 5 halberds, and 7 daggers. Upon releasing them their sentries handed
Cailor a sack with compasses, maps sticking out, and a shield attached to it.
He had them lead his unit over to this Brig. Several cannons were mounted on
the top deck while the larger ones were fixed in the lower decks. All the melee
weapons and smaller guns were stuffed in the cabin parts near the Stern. Bria
claimed to be the new Captain even though it did not need many crewmates to run
her.
With help from
idle soldiers and marines extra supplies were stored. This included extra ammo
and 39 firearms. That included heavy machine guns mounted on the deck, T.M. 13
bolt action rifles, pistols, sub-machine guns, and the new E-7 rifles. Sixteen
members of Cailor’s Volunteer unit set off as the rains came down. None of them
cared about the weather or the choppiness of the water. Whoever these Red Fang
Eels were, they turned the sails into a roof top tent. Using engineering the
brought part of the masts down with winching systems. Because of this method
they used periscopes and stolen lights to help navigate. Bria steered left
claiming to avoid any collision with reefs or rock formations. It did not take
long for Orvis to find something. He looked through the periscope. Shouting
that he found a “lost soul” on a raft he gave their coordinates. Bria blindly
steered through the deluge towards this lost soul. The seas rocked them a
little. Just the waves pushed her to slow down. She came to a halt.
“Will you grab the lost soul, Cailor?” she requested from the
Captain.
Cailor obliged and went outside the cover. On the stern in a
rain proof trench coat for fishing he held on to the rails. Holding on to the
rails he made his way towards the starboard bow. His eyes did not deceive him. Huddled against
a mast to a makeshift raft clung a soaked white-haired Drow. Rain and splashing
waves soaked this Male Drow to the marrow. Dressed in what was a hand-crafted
sailor’s jumpsuit this lost soul belonged to a U-boat crew. Without consulting
the male Drow he used his Zhenrai powers to lift him up. Bringing the soaked
sailor over like this no doubt scared him, it also revealed something
interesting. This sailor belonged to a U-boat crew serving the Gantronese
Imperial Navy.
Getting the soaked
soul down to the deck, he thought it was safe to reveal he was VUVR. As he
thought the Drow scowled and scrunched his nose. He swung at Cailor only to be
held back by some of his powers. No one would expect one soul to survive a hit
U-boat. Unless the crews scrambled to abandon ship or something none would even
survive. Cailor did not hesitate to take him in as a prisoner of war. He was a
lost soul who chose the side of the invaders. Grabbing him by the scruff of the
jumpsuit Cailor dragged the P.O.W. inside the Black Moon’s interior.
“Our lost soul is
a Drow sailor fighting for the enemy invaders.” Cailor introduced them to a new
P.O.W.
“Give us you, name and rank collaborator.” Gnom demanded. The
young male Drow shot the Orc an angry glare. He answered of course.
“Jadar Zarneld, Seaman Apprentice, Fire Control Technician or
FCT of Wakazi Class U-boat aka submarine 351.” He spat from his mouth as the
water did not dry yet.
Zaros came up and dropped a cloak on him. It caused both
Vestrisians to curse him. He only gave a typical excuse. This noble Bard was
only being hospitable to a poor soul. Seeing this fellow native of Calorn join
the enemy sickened Cailor to the pit of his innards. In the Unknown Lands he
killed scores of Mulzaneen, Uxane, dozens of corrupt Orcs, Goblins, and elves.
Most of his kills were Gantronese and outsiders, collaborating with the
invaders. He let loose one punch before leaving for a secluded part of the Brig
Ship. There he chose to meditate.
An hour passed before he felt the Black Moon move to the
right. Going through the rain they zigzagged a little. Rocking and swaying them
was all the steering was doing. Gnom apprehended the P.O.W. once her was dry.
Bria stopped the Black Moon in calmer waters. It could only be assumed they
found an island. Out of coincidence both
pirate factions and V.U.V.R. had similar missions that involved checking out
this area. Orvis explained their faction was harassed the Gantronese until the
Aquanne Hitto arrived.
“Do you think
these other factions will keep the Gantronese occupied?” Gnom asked one of the
pirates.
“That depends, Orc,
on whether they keep fighting each other.” Zersan replied to the Orc’s
question.
Cailor remembered the Card he was given this morning. He
wondered I that Borvadosi Political Officer was handing them out to other
units. Six of these factions came to mind again. As outlandish as their names
were, he wondered what their thoughts were on the native VUVR and other states
of Calorn. Did they know these countries even exist?
“So, who is leaving and who is staying?” Cailor asked looking
at the new unit. All of them had the same question in their eyes. What to do
with the Drow prisoner. Who was going to watch him? Orvis and Bria chose to
stay with the prisoner. Sir Ingrannus also chose to stay put. The alien knight
of Eros with green hair appeared a little seasick yet scared to go near these
other islands. His face was one that women would ogle. Yet he reminded him of a
youth he once knew that believed girls never liked him. Egall was what he was
called in the hometown. The last he saw Egall the youth was storming off to
join the ranks. He came back home with a broken arm in a cast and some bullet
wounds.
Without Vagi here things felt dull. Since the Zhenrai just
met them he thought it was best to hold off any judgement. Sergeant Gnom
Orbfist, Evirius, Zersan, Gorris, Friengve, Sterhen, Bemere, Zaros, Monn Vag,
Osophi and Izor stood up to leave. Cailor led the eleven-man unit he now
commanded. Aboard one of the Brig’s longboats they rowed ashore. Although it
was in the rain their landing went smoothly.
The first island
they were to explore lay covered in a jungle. A path made from flat stone,
rusted pieces of metal, shields, flat boards, weathered leather cut into the
jungle. In the rain they moved along the path in the jungle. Cutting through
the jungle while using this path took them to a base. Constructed from the same
material as the platform the structures of this base numbered thirty. Lined
along the road these structures appeared to be abandoned. On this road they
discovered forty-two dead aliens. They belonged to the CSO and this Order of
the Beast. Rain kept pouring down on them showing the clouds were not done.
Each female member urged they get inside. Only two structures had open
doorways. Zersan, Friengve, Sterhen, and Osophi entered one of the open
structures. Cailor prepared to go on without the women’s help. He turned to
Zaros, Gorris, Gnom, Bemere, and Monn Vag. Izor was too preoccupied with
searching the dead. Right as they huddled together to decide four loud screams
emitted from the one their female friends entered. All heads turned to that one
when a pair of alien Humanoids got thrown out. Friengve’s voice yelled after
them.
“Some heroes you
are, grabbing us like that! Vilescepter, and Grimd you are fake heroes, spying
on the CSO!” she yelled as she stormed out with the other women behind her. Zersan,
Sterhen, Friengve, and Osophi pounced on the pair of perverted spies. With
their fists, and boots the quartet of ladies beat them into the muddy earth.
None of them stopped until neither of the spies breathed. Cailor waited for
them to calm down. His eyes looked for Izor who went over to the other side of
the base according to Gorris. Their lizard humanoid found propellers for planes
and ships. His eyes looked wide with joy.
“We make camp here. You ladies occupy that one while the men
share another building close to you. Evirius run back to the Brig vessel to
inform Bria.” Cailor ordered the Elf who proved to be a better rower in these
conditions.
Entering the one the women did not take they found beds for
nine in a large room. In the very back of this room sat an alien skull. Called
a Jeka the being this skull belonged to fit the description of a five horned
hound-tiger-cow with blue fur. Cailor checked to see if the rain let down any.
It only got worse by a little bit. The wind picked up as though a tropical
storm was forming nearby. For one hour they waited for the rain to let down.
Evirius returned with news that their friends would stay put on board the ship.
Waiting longer got a little boring fast. His unit voted to check the rest of
the 28 structures.
Under the pour rain they checked the others. Inside the third
one they opened was a chest full of trinkets. One larger building contained a
broken cage for a predator. A cannon-mortar set up as a booby trap. Every one
of them were glad this one was a dud. A failed trap proved very safe in his
experience. One of the shed sized structures had a winged bizarre chest. After
seven tries they gave up. Zaros opened a door to another one which had large
spiders the size of dogs. Their bard was already getting caught in the webs
forced them to kill the spiders. Cailor ordered Gnom to smack him and sent back
to the Brig ship. Losing one member of his unit through punishment was
preferred over losing one in combat.
Fourteen idols from different shrines were found stashed away
inside a small one room house. At the end of this road village lay a collapsed
ruined tower. Unlike the metal constructed buildings this tower was made from
mudbricks. Next to the fallen tower lay a pair of boots soaked in the rain. In
the rain the large one large figure emerged out of the jungle near the tower.
Covered in vines, foliage, moss, and leaves and island Ogre approached them.
None of them could
tell it could see them through the rain. This Ogre picked up a piece of
mudbrick and threw it. The piece landed at their feet. As he watched this scene
Cailor felt the urge to strangle some fake singers who said Ogres did not exist
anymore. When the Ogre another piece Cailor stopped it using his powers like
any Zhenrai Cailor sent it back into the Ogre’s skull. Hit with its own weapon
the jungle Ogre collapsed. With the Ogre out of the way they passed the fallen
tower.
Even though the rain fell heavily they pressed on. This
fallen tower collapsed on part of the road that became a crossroads. It was
obvious this collapsed happened less than a hundred years ago. Cailor chose the
path on the right. Due to the collapsed tower they had to climb over portions
of the debris. From beneath the debris a tall Red Mantis humanoid assassin
emerged. This well-hidden assassin was shot up the moment it revealed itself. Shrugging
off this ambush Cailor’s unit went onward. Beyond the collapsed tower this road
went to a bridge. Made from the same materials as the platforms the bridge
connected the island with another. Dusk was not even close to arriving. Rain
kept up and the wind calmed down.
Using his
ascension Cailor took a quick glance to observe the island. He could go high to
see more, but the clouds would block his view. From this vantage point the
Zhenrai glanced ahead of them. The long-arched bridge connected to a road. Made
from planks of wood and stone this road went further on the island. Cailor
spotted a fork in this road and the rest of the island covered in jungle trees.
He can barely make out the structures in the jungles. Among the foliage and on
the beach on the right flank, he counted five vehicles. This island appeared
larger than the ones holding the platforms. He looked over the other road to
see it led to another island. One of his volunteers tapped him on the shoulder.
Cailor got out of the ascension mode. Gorris had touched him. The Dwarf, Izor,
Monn Vag, Gnom, Evirius and Bemere gazed at him in awestruck.
“We need to press
on to the others. Omurx go ahead to the women. Tell them we are crossing that
bridge.” Cailor ordered the creature Vagi found.
For a moment each one were about to say something. None of
them did. Wondering if he should press on further Cailor spotted movement in
the rain. His eyes became transfixed on this new encounter he saw coming.
Signaling with his hands he ordered his unit to come his way. The ones who came
along twirled around. With trigger happy fingers they gunned down an enemy
unit. Just because they were not Gantrons did not mean peaceful encounters.
This attacking unit could have overwhelmed them if he did not notice that. A total
of sixty-three humanoid mutants, batmen, wolfmen, brutes, reptilians, and
cyborgs lay in the mud.
He expected this force overrun them. From behind the rest of
his unit came to aid them. With a full unit he crossed the bridge to find one
extendable truck that could hold more attackers. As the rain started to let
down his unit went into the jungle covered road. Getting through this brough
them to a village sheltered from the rain by a large dome. Cailor could not
tell it was there due to the camouflage and the rain. Situated in the form of a
cul-de-sac eleven buildings sat clean as a whistle. Behind these buildings sat
more buildings. In the center stood a well-dressed mutant with a green face and
a tank with no turret.
“Ah, Zersan, Sterhen, Friengve how are those tits growing? Ha
ha I bet they get milked and suc-“ whoever this fine dressed mutant was Zersan
wanted him dead. She shot him in the head. Her gunshot caught the attention of
five other humanoids. A Red Mutant berserker brute in a tattered jumpsuit, one
spider mutant humanoid spawn, a lizard humanoid on a hover bike, some primate
mutant, and one screen scaled warrior. Although they appeared outnumbered these
mutants had a drug induced adrenaline surging through them. Cailor’s unit
formed a circle before the mutants attacked. This encounter turned out to be a
one-sided fight in their favor. Yes, guns kept winning however ammunition could
run out quickly.
When those attackers failed Cailor turned towards the end of
the cul-de-sac. The path wrapped around a single building. At the entrance to
this one stood a pair of spike armored Vorcadam(oriental warriors). One wielded
a pike and the other a long blade. Dropping his gun Cailor prepared to fight
these two. Unsheathing his messer sword and Mace Cailor entered combat mode.
Neither of the two dressed up warriors even saw him. His movements were a
slight blur to the naked eye. Making a bloody mess of these two Cailor cut off
one’s head, and bashed in the second warrior’s face.
