Her Enchanted Family

In the field she made her way up to the shrine of a Crusader she heard about. Outside the coastal city of  Vanilla Kalmira rested the shrine to Crusader Pallantas Iron-Fists. It is said he fought with his hands over weapons. Unelle Vixis the Black Mage had a crush on this Crusader until she learned he was long deceased. As a Black Mage she used dolls for melee combat and dark arcane powers except for the illegal kind and necromancy. Necromancy makes her cringe and squirm at the mere mention of it. For some reason she used a total of fifty two dolls and mini fiends to help her in combat. Dolls include Tonberries, Dragons, Bears, stuffed lizards, Dwarf Doll with a flip blade, Owl, Roc, Coeurl Tiger, Haizhe, Swamp Turtle, a Llama, a knight-warrior, effigy, Demon, Fox, a snake, Eagle, Monkey, Armadillo, Pangolin, Ox for travelling, and a little ghost for spying. The rest of her dolls, which she called fiends held the appearances of mythical creatures each with their own purpose. All fifty two of them served Unelle's needs, protection, such as travelling, combat, spying, information, and often entertainment. She carried the smaller ones in a bag carrier for a pet animal.

She brought only fourteen at a time. As a Black Mage she was selective at times. Yet at home she would use all of them at once to help around the massive tower she took care of. She lived in a Lodge with nine other supernatural users. As an arcane family they lived on a motte and bailey owned by an aging Wizenmon, a Court Wizard who is a wise mentor.  Unelle used Black Mage Doll powers, her other family members delved in sorcery, wizardry, enchantment, Occultism, incantations, conjurations, Druid-Wiccan, and White Magic. Gazing up at the statue within the shrine Unelle thought of each one when a Dark Bush Cat jumped on the base of the shrine. It looked at her with its large green eyes and meowed at her. Four of her dolls panicked and ran away fearing its claws. Unelle laughed urging the dolls to return to her side. One of them started to when the cat poised to pounce on it. She did not appreciate the way the cat was going to treat a doll like its prey. From the left came a white ferret, a fox, a monkey, a mink, mongoose, a spotted cat, Ocelot, and a strange looking fur covered dragon chased each other around. This made her laugh as it scared the cat into leaping away from the statue. She kept laughing as she watched the animals race around her and the statue. It lasted for a few moments until she heard steeds approach her.

Unelle turned around to see a company of 97 figures. The company itself was made up of 12 Dragon Knights, Soldiers, 10 Lion troops, Knights, 4 Bull Warriors, 6 prowlers, archers, spear-men, ax-men, 21 elf warriors, and assassins, 24 pirates, soldiers, and Spaniards, 13 tribesmen, and 7 skull knights. She assumed they were either passing through or here to pay homage to the Crusader Pallantas Iron-fists' statue shrine. Each animal that chased one another were called back to its owner or master within the company. She studied them seeing other animal companions such as wolves, dogs, falcons, parrots, and owls perched on their shoulders. Looking up at their leader who was a Baron bearing a Lion's Sigil upon his breast plate, which was painted over with a monster's claw print. Doing more accurate counting she could tell there were far more than a hundred mounted members of this company. Something about this mix of figures gave her chills and goosebumps. Nothing seemed right or safe about these men who seemed to stop and gaze at her. Unelle called her dolls back to her who jumped in the bag. Covering her self more with the cloak only made them laugh.

Feeling foolish she was about gain her bearings and ask why they were here. For some reason she imagined herself gaining new friends. These men were not so bad and joined her back to the motte and bailey where she introduced them to her family. Her day dreaming was interrupted by a bunch of brigand looking men and knights rushing out of their hiding places. It was an ambush against the company of men who had their own army behind them. Hundreds of brigands, robbers, and robber knights in black, red, or dark green charged at the company. Unelle prepared herself to use whatever spells she can muster in defense. A portal opened beside her in the purple-blue vortex that one Wizard is known for. Vakore the Yellow Meta leaped out of the portal in his usual gold robes, and tunic under neath that made him more like a monk. Wielding his staff with the swirl carvings Vakore sent a few fire balls at the combatants. A second Wizard came out of the portal wearing the finest clothing showing his love for high class, and noble status. Exirius Uxius the Suave is known for his illusion style sorcery mixed with some elemental magic, healing powers, and conjuration. Using his aristocratic cane he hit several other combatants before picking her up. Wasting no time the Wizards entered the portal.

She found herself in Exirius' arms smack dab in the middle of the courtyard of the tower.  The rest of her family encircled the trio. Onazahr the Adventurous Travelling Wizard bowed to her welcoming her home as Exerius put her down. Onazahr delved in the entertaining side of magic as a magician while using sorcery for defense with the help of a folded walking cane. He often traveled far and wide trying new tricks, and magical spells. A female conjurer pushed the travelling sorcerer aside in her green gown that represented the type of conjuring she performed. Hair styled in a bun, face covered in make up, and gown flowing, Celline Gantriss the Conjurer kissed Unelle on both cheeks as she embraced her back home. She had abilities to summon demons, elemental powers in the form of creatures of her choosing, and beings from other worlds or dimensions. For a staff and weapon she wields a halberd from a dead guard in some desert ruins. Agrad, and Maza Blaska the two Warlocks who were also a shaman, and medicine man were summoned over by the most powerful of the family, Vakore. Agrad commanded a force of thirty-five warriors who serve him. Whereas Maza Blaska rallied one hundred twenty braves, forest prowlers, renegades, riflemen, and trackers to his side. This added extra defenses and aid for those who get lost and needed to be found.

An Occultist who acted as a night watchman came towards the gathered family in his pajamas. He yawned offering to keep an extra eye on outer walls with the warriors. Wherever Unelle was earlier it was not far from this motte and bailey tower that was more of a small settlement built around the tower and keep. Because of his Occultist magic he chose to name himself Cxuldi using a Boar hunting Spear for a weapon. He was usually accompanied by an Enchantress named Astrdi Le Rouge who wore a colorful cloak and wielded a lover's crusader's banner as a weapon. Unelle appreciated each one who cared for her after what happened to her last year. Another magic user tried absorbing her own powers to join with his own, but was defeated in the middle of a forest battle between cults, guilds, and covens. They pressed for her to see their female Druid-Wiccan in her hut. Elwin Graves used Nature with Occultism powers. Her spells came from a book, and incantations. She often made potions for every occasion. Like Unelle she was caught in that arcane war in the forests of Ossus. Unelle sat down holding on to her forehead as it circled with bad memories of that war. Entire covens, guilds, and cults disappeared, died, disbanded or went into hiding after it was all over. She took a drink of a herbal mixture that she dosed with some soothing spell. Feeling its effects Unelle retired for the rest of the day putting all her dolls back in the shelves to sleep. It was not until the very next day did they learn there was a turf war igniting across the highways, and roads. For her enchanted family that was too close to home.
