Is she to be married?

Today was not going well for her since the mock up wedding she had to do for her job. Putting on dresses, wedding dresses and pretending you are getting married, drained her. She signed the contract to put on these nice looking dresses just for show, but got paid hardly anything until this week. It was enough to get her going and pay rent. It was just not making her happy. Every week she had to put on a new style of wedding dress. To her it seemed people had taken advantage of the fashion and added new styles next to the traditional styles. She got to the point where she preferred there was one style not countless. However she kept that to herself. Was she supposed to do this for the rest of her life? That question kept circling her mind and coming back to her thoughts every now and then.

"Alright ladies let's move it go to the dressing room and put on those dresses!" she heard her boss' voice from behind her.

Reva Sharog took a deep breath looking down at her smooth green skin. Her race was not always considered the prettiest of the nation. Yet they did not look like dogs, or had faces that looked like giant hams smashed together. This world granted beauty among females of all races. As for the males it was a coin toss of nature, or depended on what they did with their lives. She had been to other worlds like this Calorn Planet thanks to her boss who would have become a Master had the Nazdar had their way. Orcs were never treated fairly by their rulers, the Nazdar, due to some worlds in full rebellion or this Calorn she had been to. It was only for a few years on the island of Vidothra before this Vestrisian Union invaded.

She followed the other girls and models who were Elves, Humans, mixed races, tall goblins with desirable features, Angel-like humanoids, Bird Humanoids who look more like angels with wings and bird heads, and the purple skinned race that were much older than they appear. Reva always compared herself to the others who were naturally gorgeous. Although her friends and co-workers mentioned how beautiful she was she was doubtful. Most guys left her alone or did not even give her a second glance. A lot of them were intimidated, or scared of a gorgeous being like herself. In her mind none of the guys or males even liked her. For an Orc to be this gorgeous was not uncommon in this world. In some worlds they were not the prettiest sight to see.

One by one the girls entered the dressing room to put on whatever dress the designers crafted. She herself enjoyed sewing and crafting her own clothing since she lived on a farm until she came of age. The city life was hectic, yet it still treated her fairly. Putting on her happy face she approached her own mannequin that had the dress she was to wear. It had her speechless, flattered to put it on. Words could not describe its beauty or the color the designer chose. Reva giggled a little and snatched it up. She took off her casual clothing and put it on with glee. She felt very glamorous and posed for the photo shoot. For the next hour she wore the dress for the photos. As she posed for the last one she realized will she wear a dress and have an actual wedding.

As always they selected male models and some actors along with associates to pose as grooms, and groomsmen. Each person on the list was given a turn with the photos. For show she walked down the aisle with some strange looking guy who had zero interest in being here. He walked her down as the photographers snapped pictures and took their desired photos. Reva looked at the selected people wondering if this was going to be real one day. They posed for the final photo like it was a real wedding before leaving the set. Her boss came up to her with a very puzzled and concerned expression on her face.

"What is it Boss?" she asked in a cheerful tone.

"Um Reva, do you remember that guy you liked at one point?" Her boss asked her looking guilty for even asking.

Reva felt tears build up in her eyes. For years she had missed him. His death destroyed her heart. Although he was not part of the Infantry, or the Nazdar Grevaskii he still fought in a war. It was a long time ago when she heard he went off to that expedition. Her friends told her that he never returned home. That destroyed her heart and soul. None of her circles ever touched base with his friends to see if he was alive.

"Yeah." she said fighting back the tears.

"He is actually here to see you." Her boss said to her face.
