A little crew

"Once upon a time there was a Pirate who wanted to be a Captain!" a story teller read aloud to a little boy laying in bed.

"He needed a crew, and a ship to call himself a Captain. So he went into town  an searched for a crew. The pirate asked everyone he came across if they wanted to be a member of his own crew. Not one of them said yes to the Pirate. So he went to the next town that was by the sea. Now here is a port he said to himself. A port that has lots of sailors who sailed the seas! So the pirate set off to that port that was not too far from the second town. On his way to the port he had to cross a stone path that led to the port from the town. Taking this path the pirate came across a large spider web blocking the road. The pirate was about to cut the spider web when a voice stopped him. Wait, wait you cannot cut my web! A voice cried out from above. Sitting on a tree was a spider." the story teller pauses to continue the story. He clears his throat as the little boy in his bed moved a little.

"Keep going he said." the little boy stretched.

"Then why is the spider web in the path? The pirate asked the spider. I uh wanted to catch some critters like unwanted vermin and rats. This spider said to the pirate. How strong is your webbing? The Pirate asked the spider. Looking at the pirate the spider boasted his web was the strongest in the world. For a moment the pirate thought to himself and pondered over what he needed. Could your web make rope for sails or sails that can withstand a storm? He asked the spider who only smiled at the pirate. I could join you Mr. Pirate you sound like you are in need of a crew. The spider offered to the pirate. Well I am looking for a crew. The pirate said taking a look at the eight legged creature."

"So the pirate and the spider went to the port in search of more crew members. They searched every dock, house, and asked each sailor if they would join the pirate's crew. No one wanted to join their crew except a black cat offering to serve the Pirate anyway it can. Now it was the Pirate, the spider and the black cat looking for more crew members for the pirate. For long hours they searched into the night only to find sailors too lazy at night to help them. It appeared hopeless and the pirate stopped in the farthest end of the port. Here a Ketch, a two masted sailboat with a mainmast taller than the aft mast, sat next to a sloop. The pirate sat down on a barrel having found a large spider and a black cat for a crew so far. Both the Sloop and the Ketch appeared lifeless. He studied each one wondering, which one he should just take for his crew. It was dark and no one else was around. It would be great to have a sloop to command, however it required a larger crew depending on the size. A ketch could be used to fool other ships into thinking it was a harmless fishing vessel. He thought both ideas could work. Then something moved in the small Sloop drawing his attention to it. Three skeletons roamed around on deck. As the pirate watched them he noticed they were looking for something or someone. In the lead was a skeleton with a black bandanna holding up a lantern. One of the skeletons noticed the pirate and directed the rest over to him. They asked if the pirate was okay. He said he needed a ship and a crew. To his surprise the skeletons were searching for a Captain for their ship. In no time the Pirate, the spider, the black cat and the three skeletons joined up and set sail across the seas, the end." Omavern closed the book relieved to be done with his duty for the night. He looked up to find the little boy had fallen asleep holding a stuffed octopus. Omavern turned to the buxom, curvy nurse who forced him into this.

"Are you happy now?" he asked her who only smiled a joyful grin.
