A group of men and women sat at a conference table on behalf of a new nation recently crafted. For years they strove to untie the links to a larger empire while uniting separate states into a single nation. Various factions and their own territories joined them along with city-states. After ten years of revolution and another six years of pressing unification they finally had their nation. One single democracy built by the hands of those who sought freedom and their own nation. Now one decision needed to be made. What should their flag be?

Each flag was voted not to be the nation's flag, since it would give that region or faction too much sway over the rest of the country. Instead they had a few flags crafted to be selected as the new flag of a new nation.
