Another Faction?

As Mockshah roamed the streets of his home town holding his cup of coffee he noticed more people slowed down. They appeared to be eyeing him for some reason. He had seen people do this before in the past. His instincts were to ignore them. Mockshah kept on walking and it kept on happening over and over. It began to agitate him to no end. Several times he turned around with his eyes fixed on the car that stopped. Was he some kind of attraction, or was he that good looking? If he was one of those things, someone better have a talk or hand him a woman. As he walked back to his vehicle he saw a long line of vehicles with people whom he may have seen somewhere.

Seeing this many cars did not bother him at this time of day. He sensed he had seen these people before and more De Javu's coming. Would he literally see these people again? As a Warrior Prince to the IGA and the main Kingdom that started it he had more experience in various types of warfare. When he got to his car one of the High Guardians who was an Arch Angel in rank approached him. The Guardian Angel was known as Tidus Greystone "The Grave's Tone". Tidus resembled Bob Denson only his hair was shaggy in a mop head style.

"What is going on? I meant for a nice walk, then I get stalked? Or am I missing something?" Mockshah asked Tidus Greystone. He looked at the bigger Guardian who had an anchor style beard. Tidus smiled the biggest grin Mockshah ever saw on his face.

"They believe you are a member of the Black and Tans. Plus there is something else about this town. A bunch of cults from surrounding towns and communities have taken over. For some reason women like a certain woman with a desirable feature are run out of towns by pigs, perverts, rapists, and stalkers." Tidus explained to him with a look that says he needed to fess up about his own desires.

"Yes I will admit to wanting, and loving a woman with large breasts! It does come across as perverted and there is zero defense for that!" Mockshah stated feeling interrogated for a few moments.

"Watch it Dragon Prince, you are soon a Titan among us. Just remember my position as a Police Officer on this planet." Tidus reminded him.

"So there is another faction formed from a bunch of cults who are running this town." Mockshah said looking at the Guardian. He wished he had asked instead of saying it.

"Yes you are correct, and they are curious, no suspicious of you." He warned Mockshah.

"Don't tell me I have to avoid this area now." Mockshah said sounding worried.

"Nope just keep walking whenever. It shows they have zero power over you. The real authority should be in the hands of those who were elected, and in the Police Department." Tidus said.

"The government should also have authority." Mockshah said realizing how that would sound to others who believe in state's rights and hate the feds.

"You are correct on some parts. No one needs the government to have full control over the population. No one would be able to, never mind the people here judge bases on too many things." Tidus said giving up on his argument.

"There you have it Mockshah another faction for you to deal with."

"Or put up with. I cannot kill my own people!" Mockshah said sounding like he was going to cry.

"Who says these are your people?" Tidus said to his face. "You may have been born on this planet through the womb of a woman here and share the same blood. There is something else about your true origins."

Terrorists, Rival Faction, or Humanoids Gone Mad?

As I stood on the rooftop facing the opposite way of the Grand Pyramid Ziggurat that was dedicated to Marduk, Nergal, and Nabu, the little boy I was to watch over could not sleep. He never wanted to sleep at all. Behind his parents' and guardians' back he stayed up all night. That explained why he would fall asleep in class. This little rascal who I called "Tommy the Rugrat" although his name was Timon. Being one of the Guardians aside from Darkheart, Imoya, and Valerie it was also my duty to keep him in bed and inside his room, which here it is called a Womb. Little Timon threw something at me to get my attention. I turned with a grin and entered his little dwelling. It was a big room for a boy his age. He was not the only child however these Ansumerians spoiled their children a little. The moment I was in his room he begged me to tell him a story about Adolf Hitler the Fuhrer of the Third Reich.

Surprised by this I told him the beginning of his rise to power. As he listened to my voice explain how Hitler lost in London, Moscow, Africa, Leningrad, and Stalingrad he began to play songs from World War 2. With wide eyes he listened hoping to learn more about this conflict his Great Grandfather told him about. For his family was somehow at the battle of Kursk, and the battle of Berlin in April of 1945. While I began to tell him the aftermath something exploded drawing our attention. Zipping around I saw the Pyramids set aflame and guns shooting in that direction. More explosions followed and the familiar sounds of weapons from my own world. As I witnessed this attack I thought I heard the distinct cry of "Allahu Akbar!" followed by a long line of police cars racing towards this scene.

In A Relationship Status

All males and every female are bound to be in a relationship with a partner at some point in their lives. No one is really bound to be alone forever. There is no rule, or law by nature that says you are exempt from being in a relationship. No laws state that one person or certain outcast has to be alone their whole life. Life doesn't work that way. People would have to be cruel, moronic, vile, sinister, or control freaks to be doing that to someone. No one has said this person has to be left alone because it is written for them to be alone.

Some traditions require men and women to show they are in a relationship or not by law. One culture dictates that both partners must wear an arm band made from bones. The arm band can be made from other materials along with bones, and decorated as the wearer sees fit. Both partners have to wear this in public to deter others from bothering them about relationships. It is required on the part if the individual to be in a relationship to wear an arm band on the left arm. Anything on the right arm is fair game. When they break up that arm band must come off. Both individuals have to refrain from wearing it until either one finds a new partner. The very year they are married both are require to wear a bracelet on both hands, a wedding ring of course, and the arm bands. However the male should never wear gold. Only the female is allowed to wear gold. The male can wear any type of ring, or bracelet made from material that is not gold. He can treasure gold in a box whether he bought it or found it, or it was a gift. In terms of death the partner who is still alive must pass the arm band over to the next of kin or their offspring. That person can still make their own arm band if they choose to.

Goddius sat at the kitchen table staring at the woman he chose as his mate. On her left arm was the arm band decorated with gold, the bracelets on her wrists, and the ring. He wore his ancestor's arm band which he connected to his own after his uncle's death. She was not his first choice because he had other women in mind. That upset his new wife whom he remarried thrice. However they had to marry in another part of the vast world called Chaiykhan, an island infested planet with islands barely the size of continents. She wore revealing clothing that aroused him. Her eyes were on him saying I have wanted you for years. Goddius could not keep his eyes off her breasts that had tribal and clan symbols tattooed. His monkey like tail flicked around. His wife Aida MahKee Ganuna blinked her eyes slowly, and pursed her lips in a kissing motion. She knew his taste for adventure would never die along with his love for the hunt for Dragons across the cosmos. Her world had plenty of Dragons, however his search dragged him all the way to a galaxy that was deemed unsafe, lifeless, and undead. Goddius came to a world that was divided by warring states according to his first impression. He was rescued by an infamous and well known pirate lord crusader who became a Titan. That particular pirate looked just like him only had milk white skin tone. Something about his scared Goddius aside from his origins on that planet.

Goddius was some how on a screen with men around him armed with weapons threatening to cut his throat. These men flew a black flag with strange writing in white and they kept calling him an infidel. Being in captivity was all he recalled before finding himself outside in the desert being picked up by soldiers bearing a colorful flag. Aida broke his memory and train of thought by shoving her breasts in his face. Each bosom rested on his shoulder. She kissed him several times before mentioning the house hold Knucker her father had was not from that planet.

Mockshah's First Substitute Command

He met with Valerie, Bradford, and his other companions at his tent. It was under the process of being packed up as he approached. Each companion looked over at him. They did not take down everything just yet. In his absence they prepared his armor and displayed his weapons for him to select for this up coming battle. Without checking anything they dropped what they did and helped Mockshah put the armor on. As they fitted the armor on he looked around the camp seeing the army they assembled for him to command. It was not the biggest army nor was it a tiny one. Just for his own command he was given a brigade to command. It consisted of 293 fighters, 218 overseers/Barons, 310 outlaw warriors, 175 Ax Wielders, 291 freebooters, 304 lowlife thralls, 302 low nobles, 220 war masters, blade masters, 378 tribesmen, 116 Guardians, 76 Silver Knights of Atlantis, 756 Atlantean inmates, 33 Elves, 629 of Lancaster's knights and squires. A brigade of 4,101 given to him as an army to command. He did not get to meet all of them, however most had heard of his name. Every one of them tipped their hat, slapped him on the back, rubbed his head, kissed him, hugged, him, raised their drinks to him, others nodded seeing him as a young buck, and the rest begged him to move off world.

It would have been an honor to move off world and stay with these fine warriors. Living among them would make him feel more like a prince. Leaving his home would mean leaving his own family behind. That was one thing keeping him from living among the warriors who chose him to join their ranks. He may have been young, a little boy, but he proved himself to be worthy of a warrior's status.
For years he trained how to fight and lead armies. He was granted the pleasure of going off world. To him it was the best gift any child would want in their life. Sure his parents still gave him gifts, and he was still thankful otherwise he would have never played with them. In fact there were times he had too many toys to play with. It was not entirely his fault if any gifts remained up opened. Not that he hated them it was just extra stuff to keep up with. Having the chance to go on adventures, explore other worlds, realms, and to go on quests was the best gift his own parents granted him. Stabbing that creature at the top of those stairs made him famous. It had some ignition or controller that would destroy another world. What he did was destroy the ignition preventing the weapon from firing.

"We need to get your army ready for Atlantean inspection and to see if the princess approves." Valerie said with a mocking tone.

"Please that b##h doesn't know a proper army when she sees one in front of her." Mockshah scoffed at the idea of some princess. "She is how old now?"

"Eighteen years old, and ready to lead troops according to her royal courts." he heard the dwarf said with a disgruntled tone.

"I say screw the inspection and march on to the base of the mountains." Mockshah insisted picking up another weapon and arming himself. "I will be taking my army of 4,101 to the fight."

Mockshah mounted a steed and picked up his banner. With a loud voice he rallied his army and proceeded to rile them up for this battle. Every one of them marshaled to him and formed marching columns. Within minutes he was off with his army to meet or ambush the enemy. With a brigade of soldiers, warriors, knights, and fighters at his back Mockshah marched straight for the base. There he found a slope covered in trees, and brush to hide his forces. At this location he had his forces spread out and prepare an ambush. Using rope, axes, and the fallen trees he and his army were able to create a string of traps for this oncoming horde. He did not know the actual numbers nor did he care. Large armies can be defeated within a single day.

Setting up traps, hiding them was not always easy with limited time and a large army marching this way. Mockshah made due with what he had available. Even if the enemy were to march up this slope they would find it difficult. Attacking an enemy from the base of a mountain and the slopes forced them to drain their strength just getting to you. His entire force hid in the woods and makeshift shelters armed with several rifles, bows, crossbows and whatever weapon suited them. With everything set up for the ambush Mockshah ordered his army to hide and wait. It was not long before this large horde was approaching their position. It moved slow like a an enlarged amoebae like snail without the shell. He squinted his eyes focusing on how many there were. From his guess there must have been 570,981 of these mutants, monsters, and humanoids from the abyss galaxy. Stories about their tactics and behavior would have caused the average person to shit their pants and pee uncontrollably. He had witnessed such horror on the battle field. Warriors, and Champions overwhelmed, grappled, raped, torn to pieces, and eaten alive. At the age of sixteen he watched his own Master the Great "Bangorang" Elise Gabor suffer those atrocities at once. They were the only ones standing and he was pinned to the ground with spears and swords. His whole life he had been trained, experienced war, lectured, given loads of love from entire kingdoms and royal families.

After that he became a pirate for a short time then forced to become Sir Bob Denson's Squire. In his mind he knew people would call him crazy for ambushing such a large force. This is what he loved about people, how they feared for him at times while others feared the Mockshah the Pirate within. Letting the front force of the horde pass them Mockshah gave the command. His brigade opened fire with rifles first. All four thousand one hundred of Mockshah's army fired each rifle they had loaded. It caused some confusion and panic as the horde started to tear itself apart. Whenever an M.O.R. horde gathered it was made up of mutants, monsters, and spawn who fight each other. Their anger towards one other showed when an enemy ambushed them from afar using missile weapons. He waited for a few minutes to let the horde kill itself off before springing more of the ambush.

"Loose arrows!" Mockshah bellowed out hearing his own voice carry across the area, and echo. In moments thousands of arrows were loosed and rained down on the M.O.R. horde. He commanded for a second volley to be loosed on the horde as it scrambled to form attacking positions. A third volley shattered the first units that were formed and those who ran were cut down or bludgeoned into the earth. Mockshah's army did not stop loosing arrows until their quivers were empty.

"Prepare your crossbows and reload rifles!" He barked out to his own army. "Don't forget our traps." Mockshah muttered to himself.

"DON'T forget the other traps!" the Dwarf barked out for him then nudged. His army laughed heartily. If the enemy heard that they would hesitate to move towards the woods. Their mission was to destroy all in their path, and his army was stalling them. Keeping this army, this horde of nightmares and spawn from the galactic abyss itself was his job. He had to keep this horde from reaching the defenders of the pass while the Lord Commanders rallied their cavalry. Not caring about the numbers Mockshah ordered for another volley of rifle fire into the ranks just to entice the horde to come after him. As one this brigade fired another volley into the horde that was still forming new attack units. The volley got their attention egging a large portion of the horde to break away and pursue their attackers. Mockshah grinned at the sight of nearly one hundred thousand march after him. That was just a third of this horde that was already decreased by one third.

He waited to spring the first traps they laid out as the horde had some difficulty traversing the base. This was a perfect opportunity to strike using the crossbows. Mockshah commanded his brigade to fire a volley of bolts into this horde as it marched up to the wooded area. He did not calculate how many fell. It would be a waste of time and he would lose his focus on the battle. Still holding the grin and wide eyes of excitement he watched the M.O.R. trigger the first traps they laid out that killed hundreds. Scores of them fell into holes while others were pulled up from the ground by ropes. He signaled for the other traps to be released. No one could explain how he managed this, but he made balls of stone that were held together with rope, sticks and tree sap. Having crafted over a hundred he released twenty five of these at a time before releasing the logs, and other boulders. To the enemy these objects appeared like a landslide. His brigade fired their rifles at will ensuring none of the first wave reached them. Sending a large amount of projectiles down the base of the mountains forced the first wave to retreat. There is one of many things Mockshah learned was that the M.O.R. punished those who retreated. More than ten thousand of those who survived had their heads bitten off, hacked to pieces, or eaten alive.

Curse Lifted

After hours of digging into the dirt something was finally uncovered. As it surfaced from the digging I picked it up. Crouching down I wiped the dirt off to see what this object was. Without hesitation I grabbed the object and raised it in the air. To my surprise and fortune it was a medallion.

"So this is the reason why I am here." I said to myself.

This is what turned me to come to this place after so many visions. Feeling the wind blow from behind me I decided to walk into the woods. Trees rocked and the leaves rustled joyously in harmony. I came upon a pond in these woods that I had to pass on my way. Out of nowhere a few deer came to drink I saw squirrels scurrying across the branches, and chasing each other. I looked at the medallion thinking So this is what caused the curse of the forest to be lonely. I checked the back of the medallion. There were some runes engraved on the back. I thought to myself this must have been destiny that brought me here. It was my actions that cleared the curse from these woods.

Power Plant Ghost

Sirens were going off inside the facility the moment he was dropped off inside the power plant. His mission was to infiltrate this facility, snatch the book in Gregory Turnoway's possession. For a Trevoian to have the Necronomicon in their possession spelled doom for this part of the galaxy. All they do is read aloud what they read in a clear voice. He had to be dropped in as a new employee who cleaned all the rooms under the supervision of a mole. As a code name he called himself Soviet Jim to hide his true name. His code name would get him killed here. This mole kept him close to ensure this Trevoian facility did not catch on his disguise. Both had to clean the quarters while the rest worked well into the night.

He had to perform his duty with his partner on the very first day of his fake employment. Mole and agent entered the quarters with cleaning equipment. It appeared empty of life except for the two of them. In case the cameras were on and there were eyes watching them they began cleaning the rooms one hall at a time. His part in the cleaning had him sucking up dirt, and dust particles along with other waste with a vacuum cleaner. Going ahead of his Mole he vacuumed as much as he could to make way for the mopping. It took him some time to get to Turnoway's quarters where he found a crude copy of the necronomicon. Whoever found the necronomicon a thousand years ago before it was burned by Patriarch Michael in 1050 A.D. must have been enthralled in its presence. It seemed strange to be cleaning with the sirens going off. For some reason these Trevoians say they have it under control. Acting fast Soviet Jim nabbed the book and tucked in his uniform and slammed the door. The Mole working with him stopped and dropped everything. Just as the facility was going haywire through mistakes both met in the hall. He thought the early sirens were loud, the newer ones almost blew his hearing away.

Knowing the Turnoway could kill them when he finds his book missing they switch on cloaking devices. Once invisible Mole and Soviet rushed out to the main facility where employees were rushing out in panic. For a brief moment they could hear someone screaming for the valves to be turned and everything shut off. Going through the hallways, and linked rooms they nearly ran into the radiation leak that was about to head towards them. One of the coworkers there rushes into the room that is sealed off from the main facility. He falls to the floor gasping for air. That is when they come across Turnoway himself. A Trevoian known to be a little out of control when it came to his victims that were forced to keep quiet. He was a harasser, aggressive lover, and manipulative offender. To Soviet and his organization it was horrifying how he got away with all this. Another coworker came up beside him. On his chest his name tag read Joshua Myles. He checks the dead corpse reporting Michael Zitsky is dead. Turnoway spat on that yelling to get the bleeping book. Myles offered to help get out of here, but Turnoway smacked him. Mole and Soviet follow the two of them through another way to the quarters. With these two leading the way both agents find a way out. Their mission was complete and not a single Trevoian noticed. It was matter of time before the facility exploded and neither agents wanted to be there when that happened. Out of curiosity Soviet turned on a small probe they used for spying that followed Turnoway. He wanted to see the rapist's face when he found his book was gone. Exiting the facility the two of them find a vehicle to hijack. From the passenger seat Soviet watched as the facility filled with radiation clouds and parts of the reactor start exploding. Inside the vehicle they swerve off the road when they see an army of corporation workers are forced to aid the workers ahead of time at gunpoint.  Soviet's eyes were on the screen which was black since the amount of radiation broke the probe. His mission was a success despite the loss of a probe.

Ganune's Defenders

Just looking at these elf warriors Steffan wondered if their company would be enough to hold back the Veerlander clansmen. His boss approached the Ganune officers in a frustrated pace. The Mercenary Commander's nostrils flared as he stormed up to the Ganune encampment. Ten of his best mercenaries accompanied him. Through his eyes this was seen as an affront for another mercenary to stir them up in this fashion. Steffan watched with the rest of the Dragon's Might Company curious about how no one informed them. In the background the city of Trican stood with its gates closed. Every cultist they rounded looked pleased to be acknowledged. Just a few dozen of the guards were there with one of the city's leading Chiliarch, a commander of a thousand men. This only struck another question to him. How many troops do they really have, and where are they? Whoever this Chiliarch was he appeared aware of the situation yet failed to tell their company. Ten thousand troops is what they needed for defending this city not a smaller force of over thirteen hundred. Seeing the Elf force and their new "recruits" this added barely five hundred more.

Steffan did not want to calculated how many troops they had now. All he wanted to do now was begin preparing the defenses against the next wave of clansmen. His Master, this Chiliarch, and Miriav met at the edge of the encampment they set up. Each leader exchanged words over the situation. He stood with his fellow mercenaries, watching the leaders try to come to an agreement with the Ganune ideas of defense. Steffan looked over at their defenses then at their leaders whose voices grew louder. Both mercenary leader and elf leader appeared in agreement about buffering defenses with more troops. He ordered one of the officers next to him to check on the defenses. As the trio of leaders argued Steffan grew impatient and decided to take matter into his own hands. Turning around he whistled for the whole company to join him. Seeing there was no point in arguing over these defenses he led his fellow mercenaries to the defenses they constructed.

Behind him he heard the leaders voices rise up in full argument over layers of defenses. There were ways you could defeat armies of invaders without hiding in your walls. Millennia's of warfare saw defenders destroy entire hordes through various means other than hiding behind walls. Using the landscape as a first layer of defense either wore down the enemy or forced him to leave defeated. With a small company of mercenaries Steffan Mondos prepared to face the next wave of Veerlander clansmen. At the earthworks they constructed Steffan looked out at the landscape covered in bodies. All the remnants of the first two forces came together bringing in another force that made their army over ten thousand and counting. The mercenary he sent came running over to him with some news. Trican did not have another pass open for the clansmen to move around the defenses. So the ford was the only way these clansmen could march on their defenses. If this were a regular army he would be court marshaled, or beaten for taking the troops without any orders saying he could. However Dragon's Might allowed the highest rank under Master or the commanding officer to take charge if they were dead, wounded, unable to stand, intoxicated, distracted, or delayed. With just 225 mercenaries under his command Steffan hoped to delay this massive horde coming towards them.

Steffan's movement of his mercenary troops forced the rest of their forces to move towards the earthworks at the ford. It was now 1,676 defenders at the constructed defenses plus 115 cultists tied up to keep their hands to themselves.  Miriav, and his Master clearly did not want to discuss anything else with the Chirarch. Either they defend this position or be slaughtered like cattle. His Master, Vandos Gohmen retook command and ordered their bowmen to notch their arrows. Miriav ordered for her warriors to do the same, and encouraged the Ganune's to do the same as they formed a shield wall with the rest of the melee fighters. Their eyes were on the large force marching over to the ford when the gates to Trican burst open and over a hundred armed Ganune citizens came charging out of the city. All of them gave out drunken war cries and slowly made their way in a group. As new comers arrived at the front he counted about 111 drunks armed with war hammers, maces, clubs, axes, daggers, war picks, and broken pieces of furniture. In a drunken haze or state all of them simply slipped past the main defenders and charged into the ford to fight the Veerlanders. Steffan squinted his eyes noting there must have been more than 10, 000 clansmen. One hundred eleven armed drunks were showered with arrows. Arrows and corpses landed on the ford crossing in the body of water that divided the city-state from the rest of the mainland.

Blood filled parts of the crossing making it unsettling along with the arrows, and corpses. To the person who has never seen battle it would sicken them given they had weak stomachs. He studied the field finding none of the clansmen were killed other than those in yesterday's battle. Master Gohmen gave the order to begin loosing arrows, and bolts into the ranks of the oncoming horde. Steffan strung his own bow and loosed an arrow into the ranks of the clansmen who were just now coming up to the crossing. Their shields were up to protect themselves from the arrows being loosed. He did not watch his arrow to see where it would land nor did he care. All he cared about was fighting this battle, surviving until morning then the next, and get paid. There was no way he could tell how long this battle would last. Some battles last a day, others lasted a week, whereas some lasted for a whole month. It all depended on the numbers of enemies, the defenses, landscape, resources, and how determined both sides were. Among the arrows and bolts fired he noticed the Ganune's had guns on their side that took some time to reload. During his time as a mercenary he saw the world change, new weapons emerge in such a short time. Warfare never really changes just the factions, and the weapons unless the faction keeps using weapons that would be considered outdated or primitive. That was his own opinion on the matter. As he loosed another arrow the Veerlander clansmen started to fire back. He got down behind the earthwork as the arrows showered on them in return.

Hundreds of arrows landed around them hitting shields, barriers, stakes, mounds, and makeshift mantlets (portable shields or shelter for sieges). They suffered some casualties as everyone did not reach cover in time. Miriav's elves used the cultists as meat shields to draw the arrow volleys from them. Some of them would not be recognizable and others would appear like human porcupine by the end of the battle. One of them already had twelve arrows in him. The volley did not stop them from "returning fire" a new saying and order in this new age of warfare. Everyone is either falling behind or mixing up their armies with modern weaponry. Melee weapons would still be in use for close quarters, and ammunition ran out. Steffan got up from his cover to loose another arrow into the horde of armored clansmen. Their progress was slow as they used shields to protect them while huddling in one huge mass. Projectiles still found their mark causing the shields to fall. Each time a shield fell it was either picked up or replaced by another. Like a massive, lethargic beast the mass of Veerlanders pushed through the crossing and into the caltrops laid on the earth in their path.

Here is a Taste

I know you are curious about what this is. This my friend is a pastry. It is a round treat designed creatively with a hole in the middle. The hole is filled with a flavorful filling that makes you desire more treats. Its delicious appearance makes my mouth water. As you bite into it, a taste will enter your mouth that you do not want to disappear. Its middle filling is like a chewy jelly that no one could ever resist to have on their taste buds. I dare not tell what this jelly like substance is. Revealing the secret might ruin this nutritious yet sweet surprise. The taste is so delightful that you'd wish it would last forever in your mouth. When you are done with the pastry, you might feel a sense of sadness and depression. Don't let that get to you for there is a platter of other pastries to make you happy for eternity.
